Community College of Philadelphia is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Diagnostic Medical Imaging/Program Director in the Allied Health Department beginning in Spring 2026.
The Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program is to prepare individuals in the judicious use of ionizing radiation in both diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. This is accomplished by the application of knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and osteology; in the skillful positioning of the client-patient; the selection of correct technical factors; the proper handling and manipulation of radiation producing equipment; the utilization of accepted radiation protection procedures; and the processing of the image in preparation for diagnostic interpretation.

Specific Responsibilities
- Overall management and administration of the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program.
- Planning, evaluating, budgeting, and selection of faculty and staff for the Program.
- Maintenance of accreditation with JRCERT.
- Commitment to strategies for professional development.
- Assuring program overall effectiveness.
- Teach didactic and clinical courses in the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program.
- Commitment to the College’s Mission: Demonstrate a sense of connection and responsibility for helping the College to achieve success through a commitment to its mission, vision, and values.
- External and Internal Community Relations: Actively participate in the academic life of the College; including participation in graduation, recruitment events, general assemblies, student life activities and other cross functional teams. Create learning opportunities for students inside and outside of the classroom including opportunities to teach dual-enrollment high school students.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively, share vision, focus on people, initiate positive change, value differences and foster collaboration. Work with and inspire others to achieve college, department, and individual success. Proactively identify/address problems.

Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technologies for online learning and other technology tools to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population. Maintain office hours to meet with students outside of the classroom and respond to questions or concerns.
- Leadership and Development: Commitment to professional learning and growth, student mentoring, and service to the profession. Remain current in the use of technology, developments within the field of discipline, and developments related to teaching and student success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a health care or education related field is required.
- Hold a current registration in radiography (or equivalent) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Three (3) years of clinical experience in the field of Diagnostic Medical Imaging and two years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
- Must be proficient in program administration, evaluation, curriculum design, instruction and academic advising and ongoing programmatic assessment.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and skill in any of the following areas are preferred: educational theory and methodology (curricular design and development, program implementation and evaluation); instructional design and methodology; student evaluation; outcomes assessment.
- Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps.
- Demonstrated experience teaching within a community college.
- Bilingual or other language proficiency.
