Position Overview

The candidate will provide the expertise and knowledge that support the curriculum and program. The instructor will establish a program following FMCSA - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidelines and teach students using a variety of teaching methods to provide engagement and student support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach Truck Driving courses to college students attending Lee College.
• Qualified applicants must be committed to student learning, integrating technology into the curriculum, and encouraging engaged scholars.
• Maintain accurate student accounting records in compliance with Lee College requirements.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one-hundred (100) pounds.
• Submit required student reports to the Admissions & Records Office according to schedule.
• The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others.
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.
• Direct and evaluate the learning experience of the students in accordance with adopted curricula and approved procedures.
• Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials.
• Provide counsel/guidance to students when there is a need.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Qualified candidates must have ten (10) years or more as a Class A CDL holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Class A CDL Instructor Certification
