Job Description Summary:
To coordinate, develop, implement, analyze, and manage departmental budgets and accounts pertaining to compliance and submission with ACC’s and ACCF’s policies.

Job Description:

*Description of Duties and Tasks*Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with the Executive Director to develop and support broad-based strategies with a focus on budgeting and compliance for the Foundation.
  • Manages a centralized reporting repository for all contracts, including scholarship agreements. Manages centralized records. Ensures accurate and timely reporting to local, state, and federal agencies as required by laws.
  • Provides updates for Foundation Board and staff.
  • Makes recommendations to the Executive Director on budget allocations to align with college strategic priorities and that of Foundation.
  • Monitors state and federal regulations and provides recommendations to Foundation leadership on the required actions.
  • Designs and develops statistical reports and analyses for Foundation use. Ensures operational reports are complete and provide accurate data to enable decision-making in the best interest of the college.
  • Analyzes actions taken and requests made of Accounting Services, and recommends actions based on compliance and/or priorities.
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates the Foundation budget operations including account reconciliation, transaction processing, disbursements, financial reporting and analysis, and audit schedule preparation.
  • Maintains accounts and authorizes users of the budget systems, approves budget packages and prepares database updates for the annual budget.
  • Identifies and recommends solutions that may require policy changes.
  • Functions as a resource and supporting team member on Foundation and Advancement events.
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Government accounting standards as set by the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
  • General ledger, accounts payable, and restricted accounting practices and standards.
  • Contract and bid processes, standard, and protocol.
  • Compliance requirements for contracts.
  • Preparing budgets and monitoring the disbursement of funds.
  • Two to four years of relevant financial and/or accounting experience.
  • Association of Fundraising Professionals code of ethical conduct.
  • Exhibits expertise in developing and maintaining positive relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

  • Two years related work experience.

Preferred Work Experience

  • Two to four years or relevant financial and/or accounting experience.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
