The Adult Education department develops continuing education pathways for adults, including those with disabilities, who seek learning opportunities in basic skills, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Citizenship that may lead to a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and entry into the workforce. In addition, short-term career technical education programs are offered for all adults who wish to further enhance their employment potential.
South Orange County Community College District is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for tutoring. The purpose of an Embedded Tutor is to provide additional support to students within and beyond the classroom. They will work closely with the course’s instructor to develop and run workshops, act as a model student, and help to facilitate writing and reading comprehension activities.
