Description

 

The Math Center provides drop-in math tutoring for all math courses offered at the college and qualified NBU Math tutors are required to meet student needs.
 
 NBU Math tutors provide Math tutoring assistance to all math students who attend the Math Center and help with various other Math Center related duties.
 
 NBU Math tutors will help to maintain the Math Center, will help Math Center students who would like drop-in tutoring in their math courses, and may also serve as an embedded tutor in the classroom or as a weekly workshop facilitator.

 

Supplemental Information

Special COVID-19 Notice:

Interviews may be held in-person (following all necessary precautions) or in a virtual format. Employees must reside in California while employed with the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD), even during offsite work.

Anyone retired from CalPERS accepting permanent employment with the SOCCCD will be required to reinstate as an active CalPERS member. Any active vested member of California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS), who accepts employment with the SOCCCD to perform service that requires membership in CalPERS, is eligible to elect to continue retirement system coverage under CalSTRS
