The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking a part-time Mental Health Supervisor in the University Center department on the Valencia Campus. The ideal candidate will share our college’s commitment to educating the more than 32,000 racially and socioeconomically diverse students we enroll each year. Currently, our student body is approximately 45.4% Latinx/Hispanic, 32.2% White, 6.3% Asian, 5.5% African-American, 4.5% Pacific Islander, 2% multi-ethnic, and less than 1% Native American. The college was designated a Hispanic Serving Institution in 2015, reflecting our focus on enhancing the educational attainment and economic well-being of the community we proudly serve. Mental Health Supervisor

Under the direction of the Director of Student Health & Wellness, the Mental Health Supervisor works with the Student Health & Wellness Director and Assistant Director to develop, implement and evaluate mental health services, policies and programs for the District by performing a variety of complex administrative, technical and confidential tasks, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations (HIPAA, FERPA, California Board of Psychology, Mandated Reporting, etc.). The Supervisor provides short-term intervention through a variety of comprehensive psychological services directly to student clients, including referrals to community agencies when appropriate. Assignments may be at both on – and off-campus locations, days and/or evenings.  Within the scope of this position new components may be added or deleted based on District or community needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:
Three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience providing student mental health services as a mental health practitioner or manager in a mental healthcare facility. 
AND
Education:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work AND the corresponding license to practice therapy: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT); Marriage, Family and Child Counseling (MFCC); Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFC); or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
(All licenses/certifications, to practice in the State of California, must be maintained throughout course of employment).
