Tenure-Track Faculty Positions at Parkland College

Diesel Power Equipment Technology Faculty
- Provide lecture and laboratory instruction to students in the Diesel Power Equipment Technology program.
- Instruct lecture and lab courses related to the repair of agricultural equipment, construction equipment and heavy trucks. Topics include, but are not limited to diesel engines, harvesting equipment, truck suspensions, brakes and chassis, transmissions and final drives, electrical/electronic systems, engine rebuilding, fuel systems, emissions systems, and hydraulics.
Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Director/Faculty
- The program director must be responsible for program effectiveness, including outcomes, organization, administration, continuous review, planning and development.
- Teach program courses; conduct program evaluation; lead strategic planning and its administration.
- Performs professional clinical duties in accordance with established policies and procedures of the clinical faculty, the Health Professionals Department, Parkland College, and Illinois state law.
Learning Technologies & Collections Librarian
- Manages a diverse team that supports the teaching and learning mission of Parkland College by coordinating management, budgeting, acquisition and cataloging of physical and electronic resources. Oversees the college’s instructional technology software, PCTV, the Learning Commons web presence and other learning technologies. Actively contributes to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Learning Commons initiatives.
- Requires a MLS from an American Library Association accredited program or equivalent degree, and previous work experience in an academic library.
Senior Flight Instructor
- Provide flight instruction to pilots enrolled in Institute of Aviation flight courses in accordance with the approved syllabus, to include pre-flight and post-flight briefings and maintaining training records for assigned students.
- Hold an associate degree in a related field at time of application; Receive a bachelor’s degree in a related field prior to tenure determination.
