Responsibilities and Duties:
Research responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out quality research and publish its results in quality, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, journals and books.
  • Present results of conducted research to the colleagues during the in-college seminars.
  • Search and apply for research grants individually or as a group.
  • Engage students and junior teaching staff members in research-related activities.
  • Timely provide information about performed research as requested by the Dean or the Chair of a corresponding committee.
  • Other research responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the College or another person with delegated responsibilities.

Service responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in activities related to quality assurance.
  • Serve at university and college-level committees in a role of a member, secretary, or chair as assigned.
  • Participate in efforts of the College or the University in organization of events, workshops, conferences, symposia and similar.
  • Participate in activities aimed at establishing relations with the external community.
  • Prepare reporting documentation in the full and timely manner and in the format specified by the requesting party.
  • Other service responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the College or another person with delegated responsibilities.

Teaching & Learning responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver a maximum of 20 hours of face-to-face instruction per week in accordance with specialization and schedule.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials related to assigned courses.
  • Timely provide examination papers and related documents for moderation and post-moderation of exams.
  • Maintain 15 office hours per week within which the Assistant Professor is available to students, carries out research or performs administrative duties.
  • Prepare a course file for all assigned courses in the end of every semester.
  • Provide academic advising to advisees assigned by the College.
  • Participate in curriculum development as requested.
  • Other teaching responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the College or another person with delegated responsibilities

Requirements :
A PhD degree in the corresponding specialized area
At least two-year teaching experience on the undergraduate level
Proficiency in oral and written English and computer literacy
Activeness in research, which is reflected in publication history
Availability of administrative and/or leadership and/or industry experience.
Good communication skills and cultural sensitivity
Must be fluent in English and knowledge in Arabic would be an advantage
