The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking two full-time Maintenance Worker III staff members in the Facilities Services division. This position is for credit and non-credit counseling courses to be taught at Pitchess Detention Center (North and South Facilities) in conjunction with our Pichess Scholars Program, start July 1st and continuing for future semesters. All instruction and office hours be conducted at Pitchess Detention Center facilities.

Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Counseling.
OR - Master’s in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling;
OR - Bachelor’s in one of the above listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT);
OR - Equivalent (none accepted)

Conditions of Employment
Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes.

Selection and Applicant Pool Process
Positions are open until filled. The above position represents the anticipated need for the upcoming semester(s) or the applicant pool. Qualified applicants who successfully complete the selection and interview process will be placed in the applicant pool and may be eligible for adjunct employment with the District anytime within the next 36 months.
