Orange Coast College is currently seeking a tenure-track journalism instructor commencing with the 2020 fall semester. The primary teaching assignment involves teaching college-level courses in journalism including, but not limited to, introduction to news writing, newspaper production, multi-platform journalism, and photojournalism. In addition, this assignment includes serving as the faculty advisor to the student-produced newspaper created in various print and digital formats. This assignment includes curriculum and program development; participation in department, division, college committees; participatory governance activities; collaboration across disciplines; the leveraging of student support resources; and participation in ongoing professional development.
The assignment may be the day, evening, weekend, on-line or off-campus and is subject to change as needed.
