Under the supervision of the Director of Student Life and Equity, the Manager of the Student Equity Program will organize and coordinate the daily operations of the Student Equity Program; manage the development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of program operations; handle emergency operational situations and budget-related issues that will assist in the functional operations of the
assigned areas of the college; train, provide work direction to, exercise functional and technical supervision, and evaluate the performance of classified professionals and student employees; perform a variety of technical tasks related to the areas of assignment; administer annual operations budgets; and ensure compliance with District policies and applicable state and federal regulations related to the college’s student equity program.
The Manager of the Student Equity Program will administer the program through the lens of an equityminded leader. The Manager will actively engage in developing and promoting a climate and culture of fairness, equity, and inclusion; foster a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, and continuous improvement throughout the District; lead by example; actively participate in and support District-wide participatory governance components and activities and other collaborative processes; encourage professional excellence among the staff; and promote an organizational culture of customer service, innovation and quality services.
