This position will coordinate and oversee the Early College high school program with Baldwin-Whitehall and Steel Valley school districts to facilitate seamlessness of student support services and increase access to resources that maximize student success.
Master's degree in student personnel services, higher education administration, counseling or related field and a minimum of three years' experience in a deadline-oriented environment, with proven results-oriented experience managing projects from development to successful implementation. Strong sales, organization, people and communication skills. Experience with sales, marketing, admissions and recruitment. Ability to coordinate programs, activities and events. Ability to interact with faculty, staff and external constituents. Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships. Supervision and leadership skills. Ability to use relevant data and produce enrollment reports. Ability to work independently and in a team setting to accomplish goals. Ability to multi-task. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to assess program outcomes. Experience with the use of online learning platforms and hybrid classes. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with budgetary oversight. Administrative student services experience in a high school setting. Ability to organize transportation for groups of students. Experience with Microsoft Office, relational databases and web content development.
1. Serves as the front-line professional responsible for forging connections between CCAC, participating high schools, and other partners.2. Actively engages program participants to ensure and sustain desired behavioral and performance outcomes.3. Develops and implements a strategic admissions management program encompassing traditional students within participating high schools.4. Develops and maintains relationships with personnel representing high schools, and external constituencies.5. Confers with prospective students and parents/family members regarding admissions, academic programs, and support services through information sessions.6. Supervises staff in the maintenance of early college programs.7. Collaborates with campus personnel to coordinate placement testing.8. Develops, implements and coordinates early college programs such as enrollment workshops, campus visits, etc. for new and inquiring students.9. Conducts high school recruitment visits and participates in college fairs targeted at high school students.10. Records recruiting activity outcomes, maintains contact lists and databases and analyzes enrollment data.11. Interfaces or networks with appropriate internal and external parties to develop or enhance recruitment opportunities and activities.12. Represents CCAC by conducting presentations to student and parent groups.13. Develops and maintains relationships with personnel representing high schools, social agencies and organizations, the business community and external constituencies.14. Maintains contact with the academic departments, placement, continuing education and college centers to remain current about new programs, program changes and other information critical to the successful recruitment of new students.15. Coordinates a two-week orientation and arranges for transportation to and from the CCAC South Campus for participating high school students before beginning 9th grade, designed to engage them in the goals of the program and inspire them to think about the possible careers offered. 16. Develops and coordinates a Summer Bridge Program at CCAC South Campus aimed at improving participants' participation which may include but will not be limited to SEM105.17. Arranges transportation for 11th and 12th graders to and from CCAC South Campus to participate in the Summer Bridge Program and/and or attend enrolled classes.18. Collaborates with CCAC's Center for Teaching and Learning to provide Early College instructors with annual professional development training during summer months which may include self-guided online learning modules, through CCAC.19. Provides training and development for early college instructors, liaisons and CCAC faculty on developmental stages in the summer and throughout the academic school year.20. Provides support and mentorship to help teachers achieve the desired outcomes for successful program implementation.21. Promotes internships, externships, volunteer opportunities, and COOP opportunities with the business partner and high school participants.22. Proven ability to demonstrated program management and/or project management skills, ideally in a high-needs high school setting.23. Collaborates with campus liaisons as assigned24. Actively engages in problem solving.25. Conduct performance assessment through formative and summative evaluations as each cohort advances through the program to capture term-over-term retention (initial goal 65%).26. Evaluate and assess outcomes by surveying participants at the time that they apply for graduation and again at a later date (within two years of graduation) to assess outcomes (employed in field of study, transferred to a four-year institution, and length of time to complete program).27. Conducts formative and summative assessment between project partners including CCAC, school superintendents, internship partners and students through monthly reporting, group discussions and focus groups using both qualitative and quantitative data.28. Identify and cultivate new sources of external funds to extend the original grant-funded activities.29. Assists with information sessions for parents to talk about the potential of careers in business, finance and information technology; or provide project-based ideas for summer programs or extra-curricular club activities. 30. Develops, approves and monitors grant budget and regularly reports out to stakeholders and board of trustees.31. Performs all other duties as assigned.
