General Statement

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate ESOL Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction and a deep commitment to empowering adult learners to enhance their English language skills, particularly in workplace environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate students' language proficiency to identify individual learning needs.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters active participation and engagement.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and language levels.
  • Encourage and support students in overcoming language barriers and building their confidence.
  • Work with companies to develop and deliver engaging ESOL curriculum and lesson plans tailored to adult learners in a workplace setting.
  • Collaborate with employers and HR departments to identify specific language needs and align instruction with workplace requirements.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide their learning and communication development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and other relevant data.
  • Stay up-to-date with current best practices in ESOL instruction and participate in professional development opportunities.


Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, TESOL, or a related field
  • Proven experience in ESOL instruction, particularly in workplace settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and culturally sensitive learning environment.
  • Patience and empathy for adult learners facing language barriers.
  • Knowledge of language assessment tools and teaching methodologies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual learners and workplace environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
