General Statement
Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area. We are especially interested in instructors who are qualified to teach both algebra-based and calculus-based physics lab courses. Courses assigned are primarily day courses, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Gas, Electric or Communication industry plus 3-5+ years progressive experience in Utility, Telecommunications or Construction field
- Demonstrated working knowledge of principles and practices in Utility Technology.
- Ability to teach day, evening, or weekend classes in more than one campus location with particular emphasis on day classes in Worcester.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certificate or degree in Energy and Utility Transmission and Distribution or related field.
- Experience in teaching or training.
- Experience in curriculum design, assessment, and college-level teaching.
