    General Statement

    Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area. We are especially interested in instructors who are qualified to teach both algebra-based and calculus-based physics lab courses. Courses assigned are primarily day courses, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.

    Job Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications



    • Certified in the CST/CSFA field through a national certification program accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)

    • Graduated from an education program in Surgical Technology or Surgical First Assist that is accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency (3) three years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology or a combination of both.

    • (5) five years in the main operating room or multiple surgical specialties.

    • Individuals must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to build successful relationships with students and faculty.

    • Improving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approaches.



    Preferred Qualifications



    • Teaching/training experience. Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate.
