Expertise: My work focuses on performance and social dance in the United States including issues of race, urbanity, and cultural role. Also the elements of dance as and art and of criticism.
I was a Teaching Artist in the New York and Chicago Public schools and have supervised and mentored new artists in the field.
I am co-chair of the New York Dance Awards (The Bessies) Boundary Breaking sub-committee.
