General Statement
Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area (i.e., Southbridge and area high schools). Courses may be assigned for days or evenings and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in mathematics or related discipline with at least one graduate mathematics course.
- One year of successfully teaching mathematics in high school or college.
Preferred Qualifications
- Documented examples of syllabus / course development and assessment
- Demonstrated experience using a Learning Management System.
- Demonstrated experience in using technology in the teaching of mathematics in the classroom, including publisher web-based content.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other mathematics instructors.
- Ability to teach day, evening or weekend classes in more than one campus location.
