    General Statement:

    This position provides support to the automotive technology instructor(s) both in the lab and with equipment and tool needs. To maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in the automotive lab. Report all damaged and missing tools or equipment to the Program Coordinator Assist in lab set up and clean up when needed.

    Supervision Received

    The position reports to the Dean of the School of Business, Computing, and Applied Technologies and works directly with automotive faculty.

    None.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain a safe organized and clean lab environment.

    Check equipment and tools on a daily basis for proper operation.

    Assist Instructor in the lab when needed.

    Provide students with basic directions and guidance in the lab under the supervision of the automotive technology instructor.

    Clean lab, equipment, and tools as needed.

    Make sure training vehicles have fuel and properly maintained batteries.

    Make sure all tools are returned to the proper place after each class.

    Job Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications:



    • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

    • Automotive maintenance/repair and/or automotive tool knowledge.




    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Post-secondary certificate or associate degree in Automotive Technology

    • Demonstrated experience in the field

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
